About the position

The Art Director (Temporary) at EAB is responsible for planning and executing visual elements for direct marketing materials aimed at higher education clients. This role involves collaboration with various teams to create effective marketing packages, ensuring high production quality and alignment with client goals. The position is temporary, expected to last for 3 months, and reports to the Associate Director of Art Direction.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop understanding of each assigned client, including school history and current challenges.
  • Integrate clients' brand into marketing materials to meet objectives.
  • Optimize client response rates by creating effective marketing packages based on direct marketing principles.
  • Build emails and landing pages using HTML and CSS following best practices.
  • Work within the marketing automation platform to build email templates and web experiences.
  • Format content and configure functionality within the content management system (CMS).
  • Collaborate with account teams, copywriters, and digital teams to create innovative campaigns.
  • Prioritize and deliver work per established deadlines.
  • Maintain current and accurate files of creative reference materials for assigned clients.
  • Participate in team and creative meetings, specifically client discovery discussions.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 2 years of work experience in a marketing or advertising environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and the Macintosh operating system.
  • Knowledge of best practices for designing and coding HTML emails.
  • Understanding of graphic optimization and web animation.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage direct marketing principles and think creatively.
  • Experience with web design and usability.
  • Knowledge of print production and postal regulations.
  • Experience with animation and video design using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere.

Benefits
