About the position

The Art Director at OpenStore will lead the design and creative direction for a diverse portfolio of over 45 brands. This role involves a balance of hands-on design work and art direction, focusing on digital e-commerce, product launch campaigns, and various marketing channels. The Art Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance brand visibility and drive revenue, while also managing a team of production designers and freelancers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Art Direction and design for brands across all channels.
  • Develop creative for Promotional Events, Go To Market Campaigns, and Improving the Customer Experience.
  • Oversee art direction for photo and video shoots, both on set and remotely.
  • Manage a team of production designers and freelance support.
  • Collaborate with producers, copywriters, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines.
  • Work from concept to execution across all channels.
  • Create new creative workflows, document, templatize, and implement them.
  • Conduct competitive research and stay up to date with trends, styles, and aesthetics for brands and categories.

Requirements

  • Experience in dealing with ambiguity and self-starter capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Mastery of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners.
  • Experience using project management tools like Clickup, Asana, and Monday.
  • Ability to manage and execute on multi-touch/channel projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Adobe After Effects and Premiere.
