About the position

Trickey Jennus is seeking a creative and dedicated Art Director to join their dynamic advertising agency in Tampa, FL. This full-time position involves collaborating with the creative team to develop effective campaigns and compelling content across traditional and digital mediums. The Art Director will play a crucial role in the design process, from conception to completion, while reporting directly to the Senior Art Director.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the creative team to design and layout for both traditional and digital mediums, from conception to completion.
• Edit and manipulate images, including retouching, cropping, resizing, and optimizing for different mediums.
• Create consistent visual identities, including logos, brand elements, and style guides.
• Assist account teams with presentations for creative and new business pitches.
• Work with independent contractors (freelance illustrators, photographers, etc.) as required per assignment, under supervision of designated art director/senior art director/creative director to meet assigned deadlines.
• Maintain high skill levels in all software programs required to perform assigned job functions; take training in the use of new design software as the agency requires.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Three or more years of experience with design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and other relevant tools.
• Strong knowledge in layout and composition, typography and color theory.
• Familiarity with the requirements and specifications for both print and digital mediums.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Keen attention to aesthetics and fine details.
• Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Desire to continue building skill set with education and training.
