About the position

The Art Director at F5 will play a crucial role in the Worldwide Marketing team, focusing on leading creative operations and ensuring high-quality creative outputs that align with the company's brand vision. This position requires a strategic mindset and expertise in creative work, with responsibilities that include managing agency relationships, overseeing creative assets, and contributing to marketing strategies that drive business results. The Art Director will work autonomously while fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment, ensuring that all creative projects meet brand standards and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Creative Director in running the creative operation with a focus on functional discipline and overall creative impact.
  • Make creative decisions based on best practices, time constraints, research insights, and F5 business needs.
  • Own the creative assets, ensuring they are organized, findable, and up to date.
  • Maintain brand, creative, and content style guidelines, ensuring they are accessible and current.
  • Deliver high-quality creative projects that strengthen the brand and support marketing efforts.
  • Work with a high degree of autonomy in managing agency relationships and projects.
  • Ensure creative aligns with F5's brand vision and quality standards are maintained.
  • Strategically convey the benefits of F5's products/solutions in a relatable way.
  • Contribute to the development of creative strategies that support marketing and communication goals.
  • Review and approve agency creative, ensuring it meets brand standards and stakeholder needs.
  • Provide training and support to agency teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in design and art direction.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Expert user of Adobe creative software, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of creative content best practices and brand management.
  • Ability to balance creative decisions with business objectives.
  • Experience with B2B in the tech industry is preferred.
  • A digital portfolio demonstrating innovative and compelling creative work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and animation libraries.
  • Experience in integrated multi-channel campaigns.
