About the position

The Art Director at COOLAID is responsible for innovating, planning, and directing various client assignments within a full-service real estate marketing agency. This role requires a blend of strategic and conceptual thinking, as well as collaboration with team members to create visually compelling and effective advertising campaigns. The Art Director will manage the design components of projects, ensuring that all creative work aligns with client expectations and brand guidelines while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Report to and work closely with the Creative Director to execute creative concepts that inspire and are on schedule.
  • Collaborate with other members of the client team to develop relevant project strategies and solutions.
  • Actively participate in team brainstorm sessions to discuss assignment parameters.
  • Understand a project’s tone, positioning, objectives, and goals.
  • Strive for perfect pixels, colors, characters, and more.
  • Participate in the production process to ensure integrity of the final product (print, video, or digital).
  • Oversee the production process to ensure integrity of files, output, and server management.
  • Maintain consistency in designs and messaging across all materials in line with brand guidelines.
  • Create and edit visual content for social media platforms to enhance engagement and reach.
  • Manage multiple design projects with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging design tools to bring fresh ideas to the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years working in an Advertising Agency setting, with strong preference for Real Estate experience.
  • A related Bachelor's degree, Graphic Design or New Media Diploma, or equivalent work experience; experience in digital design is a bonus.
  • Expert knowledge of software packages including Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe XD/Sketch, After Effects/Premier Pro.
  • Proven experience working with mass advertising concepts, both traditional and digital.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and manage priorities effectively.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate creative approaches and seek innovative ideas through research or resourcefulness.
  • Ability to collaborate, take constructive criticism, and act on peer/client feedback.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in digital design is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with emerging design tools and trends.
