About the position

The Art Director at Vineyard Vines will play a crucial role in the Creative Services team, responsible for overseeing the design process for both digital and print media. This position involves collaborating with various business leaders to create compelling seasonal campaigns and dynamic content that aligns with the brand's lifestyle experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art direction, digital design, and management, with a proactive approach to improving existing structures and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage design process and oversee digital and print design direction.
  • Conceptualize and develop lifestyle campaign stories, bringing them to life through photography, video, and voice through the creation of storyboards.
  • Work closely with web and print producers or agency partners to ensure visual quality and consistency of all images.
  • Collaborate with project managers to scope projects, establish timelines, and prioritize tasks across channels.
  • Collaborate with photography, content, marketing, and merchandising to establish design direction and implementation strategy.
  • Art direct photo shoots that support and complement the vineyard vines brand experience.
  • Manage a team of digital designers and graphic designers, ensuring project completion using available resources.
  • Direct the conceptual development and on-time design of all content and design assets for vineyardvines.com and other platforms.
  • Create and lead the design implementation of projects incorporating copy, innovative design, and brand assets.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as an Art Director, Digital Design Lead, UX Design Manager, or Digital Design Manager.
  • Experience in art directing photo shoots with category on-figure selling as well as web.
  • Strong network of photographers, videographers, stylists, and other creative professionals.
  • Strong sensibility for color, typography, and design trends.
  • Great presentation, communication, and management skills.
  • Ability to translate business goals into design solutions.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in brand-building including concept development and online marketing campaign development.
  • Strong understanding of user-interface and user experience for online and mobile products.
