About the position

Specialized is seeking an Art Director to join the Global Brand Design team. We are looking for a multifaceted design leader with an eye for visual details and ability to manage people, projects and productions. The position is based at our Global Headquarters in Morgan Hill, CA, with a hybrid schedule requiring three days a week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design team within Global Brand Design
• Collaborate on and develop visual strategies and assets
• Provide category visual direction
• Direct and produce video and photoshoots
• Art direct product launch assets
• Oversee digital campaign direction
• Manage retail and in-store campaign direction
• Direct website experience
• Collaborate with Digital and Social teams
• Lead event branding and asset direction
• Create out of home and printed advertisements
• Design internal/external communication materials
• Collaborate with external vendors and agencies
• Manage 1-2 Designers
• Ensure timely delivery of design projects
• Support the Global Marketing team and category marketing managers
• Provide design support for various stakeholders including global markets, e-Commerce team, Sales team, and SBCU

Requirements

• 6+ years of related professional experience working for a brand or agency
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
• Experience as an art director concepting and executing brand and campaign work
• Experience running commercial photoshoots and video shoots on location
• Experience managing direct reports, freelancers, and external vendors
• High level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Experience working in Figma and Miro
• Experience with project management software like Jira and Confluence is a plus
• Work experience in both print and digital mediums
• Strong understanding of branding, marketing, communications, and advertising
• Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
• Interest in art direction and a healthy, active lifestyle
• Must be able to travel for photo and video shoots, events, and market research trips
