Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum for grades 9-12.
  • Create lesson plans that accommodate students' unique learning styles and developmental needs.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback to support their growth.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into the broader educational program.
  • Participate in school events and activities to promote the arts within the school community.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Engage with parents and the community to foster support for the arts program.

Requirements

  • Single Subject Credential with a major in Art
  • EL Authorization

Nice-to-haves

  • Career Technical Education Teaching Credential (CTE) with major in Arts, Media, & Entertainment
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Experience with Ceramics
