Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent student supervision consistent with the age and abilities of students.
• Set and hold high expectations for academics and behavior.

• Create and maintain a joyful, safe, structured, and engaging school and classroom culture.
• Demonstrate passion for the content area you teach.
• Encourage students to take risks and learn from their mistakes.

• Give and receive feedback to improve practice and maintain open communication.
• Plan and teach lessons to students for one to five periods per day.

Requirements

• Earned Bachelor's Degree.
• Valid 30-day Emergency Substitute Permit or other Valid CA Teaching Credential.
• Ability to meet California Basic Skills requirements.
• Commitment to high academic and behavioral expectations for all students.
• Adaptability to teach different subjects and grade levels.
• Professional, warm, and collaborative demeanor with students, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to start immediately and be available on call.

Nice-to-haves
