About the position

The Art Teacher position at Sunset Elementary School is a part-time role under the general supervision of the School Principal. The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate student success and growth in both academic and interpersonal skills. This is achieved through the implementation of district-approved curriculum, which includes documenting teaching and student progress, activities, and outcomes. The Art Teacher will address the specific educational needs of individual students by creating a flexible, safe, and optimal learning environment. Additionally, the teacher will provide feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals. The role requires a commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere and engaging students in the arts, encouraging creativity and self-expression.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree.
• A valid New Mexico teaching license with endorsements as needed.
