About the position

Creative Corner LLC is seeking passionate and dedicated Art Teachers for our Arts & Crafts program, which caters to students from preschool through high school. Our program is designed to foster creativity and artistic skills through a variety of mediums including charcoal, pastels, watercolors, acrylics, and oils. We offer classes in Fine Arts, Zen tangle doodling, still-life, realistic animals, figure portraits, landscapes, cartooning, and stained glass. The ideal candidate will have a background in realism or the ability to quickly learn the necessary arts and crafts skills. As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and planning daily classroom programs based on our established curriculum. You will provide opportunities for children to explore and experiment with various media, helping them develop a sense of awareness and self-esteem through their artistic expression. It is essential to motivate and encourage students to complete their tasks while appreciating their work and guiding them to the next level of their artistic journey. In addition to teaching, you will supervise students to ensure their safety and care, work harmoniously with co-workers, and maintain good communication with children, teens, and adults. We prefer candidates who live within a 30-minute driving distance from our class locations in Burlingame, San Bruno, Belmont, Daly City, and San Pablo. Teachers are expected to arrive 10 minutes before class starts and dress appropriately for a school environment. We will provide all necessary arts and crafts materials, and teachers must take responsibility for these supplies, ensuring they are restocked as needed. This position is part-time and seasonal, making it an excellent opportunity for college graduates or anyone looking to earn additional income while working with children in a creative environment. We will provide training for those without prior experience, and we encourage individuals who are passionate about arts and crafts to apply.

Requirements

• Valid Teaching Certification preferred.
• Experience in teaching is required (1 year preferred).
• Ability to teach various art mediums and subjects.
• Good communication skills with children, teens, and adults.
• Highly responsible and punctual.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or working towards one is preferred.
• Experience not required for volunteers or aid teachers.
