About the position

OneSchool Global is seeking a dynamic and creative Art Teacher to join our innovative and progressive school for the upcoming school year. As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for fostering creativity and artistic expression among students aged 8-18, utilizing the latest technology and teaching pedagogy to enhance their learning journey. You will collaborate with a professional learning community (PLC) to develop and implement engaging art curricula that align with our educational goals. This position requires effective communication skills, both oral and written, and a willingness to work within cultural boundaries, respecting the diverse backgrounds of our students. Additionally, you will be expected to participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a collaborative educational team. The role also involves taking part in school events and activities that promote the arts and engage the school community. We are looking for someone who is passionate about art education and is eager to inspire students to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging art curricula for students aged 8-18.
  • Foster creativity and artistic expression among students.
  • Collaborate with a professional learning community (PLC) to enhance educational practices.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Contribute to school events and activities that promote the arts.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Art Education or related field.
  • Washington Teaching Certification.
  • Remote teaching experience preferred.
  • Willingness to undergo a criminal background check.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Sensitivity and respect for cultural boundaries.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and background in professional learning communities (PLC).
