About the position

MoCA CT is seeking an enthusiastic Hourly Art Instructor with a special education focus to deliver creative, inclusive, and mindfulness-focused art education to students of all abilities. This role emphasizes a passion for working with individuals with diverse needs and requires adaptability in teaching methods to meet students where they are. The position involves both on-site and off-site instruction, providing a variety of teaching opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Modify art projects and lesson plans to accommodate individual learning needs, ensuring students can learn at their own pace.
• Implement creative, hands-on activities tailored to encourage participation and confidence in students with a range of abilities.
• Prepare and deliver remedial art programs for students requiring additional support, adapting methods to suit each individual.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
