Responsibilities

• Engage students using culturally responsive practices with various forms of visual arts, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, drawing, design, crafts, photography, video, filmmaking, and architecture.
• Use growth mindset practices to cultivate student curiosity about the world.
• Teach students how to use art to communicate thoughts, feelings, and messages that initiate action.
• Demonstrate a robust working knowledge of how to teach art to all grade levels.

Requirements

• NYS certification.
• Experience teaching art in a variety of ways and contexts.
