About the position

We are seeking a creative Digital Painter and Illustrator to join our art, design, and fabrication studio in Oakland, California. The ideal candidate will transform client ideas and inspirations into stunning 2D digital artworks and 3D renderings. This role requires a fast-paced work ethic and the ability to produce original artwork across various styles while collaborating with a creative team.

Responsibilities

• Create original digital artwork from inspiration materials.
• Utilize stock imagery and artist partners to create original digital artwork.
• Take direction and critique from the creative team and edit work accordingly.
• Create digital renderings of 3D sculptural concepts and render them in space.
• Brainstorm artwork concepts with the team based on client narratives and input.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Adobe Photoshop, creating original artwork.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
• Strong graphic design skills with a good sense of composition and color.
• Aesthetic versatility to create artwork in various styles.
• Knowledge of art history and current design trends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficient multitasking abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in creating 3D renderings.
• Familiarity with sourcing independent artists and historical imagery.
