About the position

The Artistic Operations Coordinator at the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra plays a vital role in supporting the logistics and artist services for the organization. This full-time position involves close collaboration with the General Manager and Senior Manager of Artistic Operations, ensuring that all aspects of artist engagement, including contracts, travel, and hospitality, are meticulously managed. The role requires a high level of professionalism and attention to detail, as it involves direct interaction with high-profile artists and various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all artist services
  • Prepare and disseminate artist contracts and itineraries
  • Arrange all travel, hotel and ground transportation needs
  • Coordinate payments and reconciliation of expenses
  • Manage Artist Rider requirements and artist hospitality needs
  • Act as assistant to Music Director, Creative Partner, Composer-in-residence
  • Provide logistical support for Fellowship programs
  • Manage hospitality as required for orchestra services
  • Arrange transportation for conductor, guest artists, LACO fellows
  • Ensure hospitality and artist rider requirements are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous experience with artist services and working with professional musicians
  • Background in music, theatre, or dance
  • Comfortable working with high profile talent and demanding personalities
  • Experience drafting and negotiating contracts
  • Valid driver's license
