About the position
Planning, stocking and implementing and supervising visual/performing arts camp for children, ages 6 to 12 in a day camp setting. Camps include instruction in two and three dimensional visual art, drama, dance and music, radio, video and creative writing.
Responsibilities
- Assist in training and supervision of camp staff
- Assist and collaborate with other Arts Camp Staff
- Attend to the health, safety and discipline of campers at all times, adhering to all Health Department protocols
- Manage supplies and maintain an organized and safe camp environment
- Maintain positive customer relations with campers and their parents
- Perform administrative tasks that support the efficient running of the program
Requirements
- College degree or coursework in the arts, education or related field or equivalent experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to cooperate and collaborate with artists
- Must be able to physically keep up with children
- Responsible and reliable
- Prior camp experience and experience working with children
