About the position

As an Aseptic Process Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and process guidance in aseptic liquid processing and packaging. Your primary focus will be to drive operational excellence by ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and accurately, thereby enhancing Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR). You will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership qualities and embody the core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety in all aspects of your work. In this role, you will contribute to the development of aseptic product strategies and create detailed engineering and design plans for various aseptic food products, including dairy, juices, blends, concentrates, and pastes. You will be responsible for optimizing, troubleshooting, and maintaining aseptic manufacturing lines to improve quality, productivity, and safety. Additionally, you will develop conceptual process and packaging designs to enhance existing or new aseptic product portfolios. You will manage multiple projects, defining resource allocation, budgets, timelines, equipment, and materials. Your role will also involve evaluating and presenting innovative equipment and technology solutions, conducting process analysis of existing technologies and systems, and performing feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses. Attending industry events to identify new aseptic processing and packaging technologies will be part of your responsibilities, as well as integrating personnel, food, and regulatory safety requirements into all solutions. You will maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local engineering codes and regulations, and adhere to established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, high-quality products that meet regulatory and industry standards. Supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems will also be a key aspect of your role.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of aseptic product strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of aseptic dairy process experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive engineering experience in food/beverage manufacturing and dairy processing.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a solid understanding of engineering disciplines, plant operations, and construction.
  • Ability to travel extensively (approximately 75%).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute plans to achieve project goals.
  • In-depth technical expertise and application knowledge of aseptic processing and packaging.
