The ASG Solutions Engineer - Managed Services at SHI is a pivotal role focused on driving the growth of the managed services business by engaging with both new and existing customers. This position requires a deep understanding of SHI's managed services portfolio and the ability to leverage a consultative sales approach. The individual will be responsible for qualifying opportunities, understanding customer needs and budget constraints, positioning services and pricing effectively, overcoming objections, collecting customer data, and guiding opportunities through to contract signature. The role emphasizes collaboration with account teams to assess the maturity levels of customer cloud environments, which involves reviewing and evaluating cloud technologies, consumption patterns, implementations, and processes. In addition to designing and proposing cloud solutions that align with customers' business objectives, the Solutions Engineer will work closely with sales teams to drive solutions forward, making recommendations and aligning next steps for successful sales outcomes. Building and strengthening technical relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), strategic and emerging partners, and key cloud partners is also a critical aspect of this role. The Solutions Engineer will play a key role in educating sales teams on cloud solution selling and key technologies through various training formats, including one-on-one sessions, team training, and company-wide training initiatives. This position reports to the Solutions Director or Solutions Manager within the Advanced Solutions Group and is designed for individuals who are results-driven, possess excellent presentation skills, and have a strong sense of urgency. Attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, along with deep knowledge of major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
