About the position

The ASG Solutions Engineer - Cloud will provide customer-facing technical services to our customers in support of their cloud-based initiatives. This role is pivotal in implementing various solutions that support SHI customers' transition to and modernization in the Public Cloud. The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for implementing enterprise infrastructure and platforms required for cloud computing, analyzing system requirements, and ensuring that systems are securely integrated with current applications. This position is fully remote, allowing for a home office setup as determined by SHI management. Responsibilities

• Implement and thoroughly document Cloud solutions and related technologies including Network Design, Security Architecture, Governance Best Practices, and Connectivity.
• Perform implementation work that may include logical design, I/O design, cloud architecture analysis and design, system migration, and systems engineering.
• Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert on projects and workshops.
• Develop technical roadmaps for future cloud implementations on Public Cloud platforms.
• Perform PowerShell, Python, and Bash scripting for automation, documentation, and standardization.
• Ensure security is integrated into all cloud solutions.
• Assist the sales team in identifying and closing opportunities through customer meetings and presentations.

Requirements

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of applicable technical experience with increasing responsibility.
• Active applicable cloud certifications.
• Deep understanding of system development in cloud environments, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
• Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Software as a Service Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape.
• Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, storage, monitoring, security, etc.) and experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution.
• Experience migrating workloads to the Public Cloud and/or managing workloads in the Public Cloud.
