About The Position

The ASG Solutions Engineer - Managed Services at SHI is a pivotal role focused on driving the growth of SHI's managed services business. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and possess a strong sales acumen. The Solutions Engineer will act as a subject matter expert in SHI's managed services portfolio, utilizing a consultative sales approach to engage with both new and existing customers. The primary goal is to qualify opportunities, understand customer needs and budget constraints, position services and pricing effectively, and ultimately guide the sales process to contract signature. In this role, the Solutions Engineer will be responsible for developing and closing managed services opportunities through various customer interactions, including meetings, follow-ups, and contract negotiations. They will thoroughly qualify customers to ensure a proper fit for SHI's managed services offerings and serve as the key subject matter expert for each opportunity. The position requires excellent communication skills to engage with qualified prospects through email and virtual meetings, as well as the ability to manage the sales pipeline effectively using CRM tools. The Solutions Engineer will also play a crucial role in the pre-sales process by creating documentation, presentations, and other artifacts that aid in showcasing SHI's managed services value. They will deliver training to the internal sales team on these offerings and provide monthly sales forecasts to SHI leadership. Additionally, the Solutions Engineer will participate in the customer onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales delivery by communicating customer goals and expectations. Staying informed about company developments, competition, and technology trends is essential for success in this role.
