About the position

The ASI Manager at General Dynamics Information Technology is responsible for overseeing and managing planned disruptions to critical services within the organization. This role ensures that any planned outages are communicated, coordinated, and executed with minimal impact on operations, while adhering to established procedures and approvals for service interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving ASI requests by evaluating the need for planned service interruptions and authorizing ASIs based on established criteria.
• Coordinating with stakeholders to communicate planned outages to relevant teams and departments, ensuring awareness and preparedness.
• Conducting impact analysis to assess the potential impact of an ASI on business operations and identifying critical systems and dependencies that may be affected.
• Optimizing scheduling and timing of ASIs by working with technical teams to schedule during periods of minimal disruption.
• Managing change related to ASIs through proper documentation and adherence to change management processes.
• Providing clear and timely updates on planned service interruptions to stakeholders, including status updates and post-incident reports.
• Identifying potential risks associated with ASIs and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize disruption.
• Ensuring compliance with established company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience in systems administration or a similar field.
• Interim Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server and operating systems.
• Strong skills in business operations and information systems.
