About the position

The ASIC RTL Design Engineer at Broadcom Inc. is responsible for the design and development of digital circuits, focusing on defining the architecture for System on Chip (SoC) solutions. This role requires extensive experience in RTL design, micro-architecture, and a strong understanding of ASIC design flows. The engineer will work collaboratively within a team to solve complex architecture problems and contribute to the development of ARM-based SoCs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop digital circuits for SoC architecture.
  • Define architecture including clocks, resets, interconnects, and IO interfaces.
  • Work on ARM-based SoC projects.
  • Utilize Lint, CDC, SDC, and verification strategies at the SoC level.
  • Engage in chip-to-chip communication protocols in MCM cases.
  • Solve architecture problems from micro-architecture to system level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 8+ years of experience in SoC architecture and design, or a Master's Degree with 6+ years of experience.
  • Experience in micro-architecture and RTL development.
  • Strong experience with Verilog and System Verilog.
  • Proficient in Tcl, Perl, and Python scripting.
  • Good understanding of ASIC design flow.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player.

Nice-to-haves

  • Verification experience is a plus.
  • Experience in chip-to-chip communication protocols in MCM cases is a huge plus.
