About the position
Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is seeking ASL (American Sign Language) interpreters to work as freelance interpreters in a 1099 Independent Contractor role. The position allows interpreters to set their own schedules and accept appointments based on availability. The role is essential in bridging communication gaps for individuals needing language access, and interpreters will contribute positively to society through their work.
Responsibilities
- Provide ASL interpretation services in various settings.
- Adapt to different work environments and settings as needed.
- Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
- Participate in an ASL assessment by a Certified ASL Professional if necessary.
Requirements
- Exhibit proficiency in ASL (American Sign Language).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments.
- Must be located in and authorized to work in the US.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience interpreting in a professional or volunteer capacity.
