About the position

The ASL Driver position involves safely operating a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. The role requires performing vehicle inspections, reporting issues, and maintaining cleanliness at customer locations. The driver will work closely with Route Managers to enhance route efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a heavy-duty truck on transfer routes.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
• Report any unsafe situations or service calls to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required.
• Work with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify unsafe accounts.
• Assist other company drivers as directed by the Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Notify Route Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager.
• Ensure all containers are dumped and the customer's location is clean and free of debris.
• Complete and submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal.
• Position containers properly on the customer's property to avoid blocking driveways or traffic.
• Follow route assignments and complete documentation at the end of the route.

Requirements

• Must possess a Commercial Drivers License B (CDL).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Acceptable driving record is required.
