About the position

The ASP.NET/Java Developer position is a contract-to-hire role focused on supporting and converting existing Java applications to ASP.NET. The role involves software development, testing, and providing support throughout the software lifecycle. The position allows for hybrid work after an initial orientation period and has the potential to convert to a permanent role after six months.

Responsibilities

• Support existing Java/Eclipse/WebSphere application and convert to ASP.NET
• Perform software development, testing, and provide support in all phases of the software lifecycle
• Provide support to issues in production

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience
• Java Development
• ASP.NET Development
• Oracle Database development experience (PL/SQL scripting, SQL optimization) is a bonus
• Windows experience
• UNIX/Linux experience (Shell scripting) is a bonus
• Ability to perform analysis and design
• In-depth knowledge of software engineering techniques and concepts
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or coordinate as part of a development team
• Knowledge of computer data-structures and algorithms
• Software quality assurance experience

Nice-to-haves
