About the position

The Asphalt Market Reporter will oversee the production of a weekly report focusing on the Asphalt Market, providing insights into North American pricing, market trends, and comprehensive analysis of relevant industries. This role involves developing new products and services, collaborating with industry leaders, and analyzing the dynamics of the asphalt markets in terms of supply, demand, and trade.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the production of a weekly Asphalt market report by evaluating asphalt prices and market conditions.
• Research and create informative articles on topics related to Asphalt, including market developments and global supply and demand.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain an accurate perception of critical market and industry advancements.
• Coordinate the final production of products with consulting, graphics, and production staff.
• Engage with clients, prospects, and industry sources to promote the company's products and services.
• Gather and develop additional sources of information for reporting.
• Develop an authoritative reporting style across the asphalt product line and represent the company at industry events.
• Present at industry conferences and webinars to represent the company.
• Contribute to the strategic vision and guidance of the asphalt subscription business.
• Collaborate in the development of new products and services and provide insights for forecasts and analytical products.
• Work with sales teams to achieve sales of editorial products and services.
• Arrange and attend meetings with the sales team to boost product sales.
• Assist in drafting marketing copy for online and email marketing initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in energy journalism, asphalt business, market reporting, commodities, or commodity consulting.
• Relevant market experience in areas such as Asphalt, Fuel Oil, Petroleum Coke, Base Oils, Refined Products, or Gasoline.
• Self-starter with strong ability to drive a business forward and manage time independently.
• Familiarity with databases, data products, and basic analytics.
• Strong desire to build and maintain industry relationships to enhance brand awareness.
