About The Position
Reeves Construction Company, a subsidiary of Colas USA, is seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Superintendent for construction projects based in the Savannah, GA area. This role is critical in managing asphalt crews and ensuring the successful execution of projects in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent or over 10 years as a foreman in the asphalt paving and road construction industry. The Asphalt Paving Superintendent will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing the daily operations of asphalt paving projects, ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. The successful candidate will demonstrate an uncompromising focus on safety excellence and will be responsible for managing customer interactions, reporting job progress to management, and ensuring overall project quality. This includes compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as the implementation of quality assurance procedures. The superintendent will also be involved in financial management and cost control, preparing invoices, monitoring contract amendments, and ensuring that the project adheres to local regulations. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to lead a team, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. In addition to technical skills, the Asphalt Paving Superintendent will serve as the company's representative, managing customer relations and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
