Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt rollers and compactors safely and efficiently.
• Ensure asphalt, soils, and aggregates meet compaction specifications.
• Follow grades accurately during operation.
• Maintain reliable attendance and a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Experience in operating an asphalt roller on road construction projects preferred.
• Knowledge of asphalt and aggregate characteristics.
• Understanding of rolling patterns and vibrating frequencies.
• Ability to follow grades accurately.
• Capable of lifting 30 pounds repetitively and performing physical tasks such as walking, stooping, squatting, sitting, and kneeling.
• Ability to pass required physical examination.
• Knowledge of equipment and their uses.
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
• Ability to read a tape measure.
