About the position

The Customer Success Manager (CSM) at McKesson is responsible for managing day-to-day customer support for assigned accounts in collaboration with outside sales representatives. This role focuses on relationship management, customer retention, and identifying service gaps to enhance customer experience. The CSM will engage directly with customers, lead initiatives to grow business, and ensure effective communication and training. This position is critical in supporting outside sales efforts and maximizing customer engagement with McKesson's products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with remote and outside sales to grow and retain business while providing continuous feedback on customer activity and build strategy/plan for each customer
  • Act as the customer quarterback: handle day-to-day customer needs, ensure customer issues are resolved promptly and thoroughly, and ensure customers maximize existing products and services
  • Develop a knowledge base of the marketplace, environment, physician practice dynamics and concerns
  • Participate in training and educational key learning initiatives

Requirements

  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience
  • 4-year degree required preferably with an emphasis in sales and marketing, business management, or healthcare related field or equivalent experience in a sales position
  • Experience in and demonstrated understanding of healthcare and distribution, GPO, Community Oncology, industry trends, EHRs, inventory management technologies, billing and coding, private and public reimbursement models and payer contracting highly desired
  • Experience with pharmaceutical products and buy-and-bill model
