About The Position

Hunter Engineering is hiring an Assembler for our manufacturing plant in Raymond, Mississippi. The Assembler will be responsible for assembling metal products, either partially or completely, while working at a bench or on the shop floor. This role involves fastening parts together using bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners, and operating hand tools or portable power tools to assist in the assembly operation. The position requires frequent standing, lifting, and moving materials up to 50 lbs, and adherence to all safety rules is mandatory.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products by fastening parts together using bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners.
• Operate hand tools or portable power tools to assist in the assembly operation.
• Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled and/or following blueprints.
• Remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
• Observe and follow all safety rules.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
