About the position
The Assembler at Danfoss in Easley, SC is responsible for the assembly process within an assembly cell, overseeing tasks from set-up to testing. This role operates Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, with potential for overtime. Responsibilities
- Load and unload valves into assembly fixtures.
- Transport valves to workstations.
- Maintain minimum production levels and notify supervisor of shortages of assembly supplies.
- Comprehend and execute instructions from engineering blueprints, routings, work instructions, and Engineering Test Orders.
- Use assembly/torque tools and analyze defective valves for repairs to conforming specifications.
- Retrieve replacement parts from stockroom and install/remove bubble test fittings, completing accompanying paperwork for assembly operations.
Requirements
- High School education or GED equivalency.
- Basic math skills and ability to read and write legibly.
- Ability to work standing for extended periods and lift 50 lbs. repetitively.
- Good motor skills and mechanical aptitude with an understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with TPM and SMED techniques.
- Working knowledge of quality/problem solving tools (PPAP, Capability studies, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, 4-Step, 8D, Fishbone).
