About the position

The Assembler 3 position at Triumph Group involves working in the Electronics Department as a 2nd Shift Electronics Tester. This role is essential for performing various operations related to the assembly, disassembly, inspection, rework, soldering, calibration, and testing of electronic components and assemblies. The position is part of a bargaining unit and offers a competitive wage along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Work from assembly drawings, identify parts, and follow predetermined assembly sequence documentation.
  • Perform assembly tasks including fitting, filing, reaming, riveting, crimping, swaging, adjusting, and inspection.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble returned or salvaged units.
  • Detect defective or incorrect parts and request replacements.
  • Assist in the setup of equipment.
  • Use a variety of light machines and tools such as spot welders, drill presses, arbor presses, ovens, air and hydraulic presses, and simple die sets, as well as hand tools.
  • Utilize simple measuring gauges, scales, calipers, dial indicators, and universal load testing fixtures.
  • Report all unusual conditions to the Production Tech and/or Supervisor.
  • Participate as a team member and work to continually improve all aspects of the business.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred.
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification preferred.
  • Safety-oriented and willing to participate in continuous improvement team discussions.
  • General mechanical knowledge/background.
  • Experience with PCB, PCBA, and electromechanical assembly processes.
