About the position
The Assembler I position at Radians Inc. involves working closely with the production department to ensure the timely and accurate assembly of products. This role is crucial for completing customer orders and maintaining quality standards in the manufacturing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities
- Assemble products in accordance with work instructions.
- Attach various parts of the product to create a finished product.
- Perform quality inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure accuracy.
- Include inserts with products into clam shells, blister packs, etc.
- Remove products from bags for further custom assembly.
- Count products to ensure they meet work order requirements.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
- Maintain a safe work environment and perform safety inspections in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Stage products for packaging and shipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly.
- Good communication skills.
- PC literate (MS Office) preferred.
- Simple math skills, including the ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
- Ability to read work orders, instructions, formulas, or processing charts.
- Ability to package goods for shipment or storage; wrap products, measure, weigh, or count products or materials.
- Ability to use hand and/or power tools.
