The Assembler I position at SIG SAUER, Inc. involves the assembly, disassembly, and inspection of various firearms, ensuring they meet quality standards. This role requires manual dexterity, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and participation in workplace organization activities. Assemblers work primarily on-site and may be required to adapt to different functional areas based on business needs.

  • Receive, assemble, disassemble, refinish, and reassemble firearms.
  • Perform final assembly and inspection of firearms for quality testing.
  • Complete assembly tasks as directed by the department Lead/Supervisor.
  • Prepare piece parts and perform slide and frame assembly.
  • Modify configurations and package products as needed.
  • Interpret and comprehend written and verbal instructions for assembly tasks.
  • Participate in 5S workplace organizational activities and maintain a clean working area.
  • Work in other functional areas as required by business needs.
  • May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
  • High school diploma or GED; or related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions in English.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Desire to learn and interpret information clearly and accurately.
  • Some experience reading drawings is helpful.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
