About the position
Assembler I at Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation is responsible for performing assembly operations efficiently and accurately while prioritizing safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Efficiently pack customer orders ensuring the correct parts and quantities are included.
- Select applicable packaging for the order, insert applicable packaging material, construct and seal once completed.
- Affix packaging label to the outside of the package.
- Follow detailed instructions to meet safety and quality requirements.
- Use simple hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, torque guns, scissors, and box cutters.
- Comprehend and follow detailed verbal or written instructions, as well as diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Identify any defective items and handle them according to established procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members and flex to other areas to meet customer demand.
- Assist in physical inventories.
- Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area.
Requirements
- Ability to use tools to make or repair parts and products.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand continuously for up to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise.
- Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
