About the position

The Assembler II position at Medtronic involves working in a manufacturing environment to produce components for medical devices. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and efficiency of production processes while adhering to safety standards. The assembler will be part of a dedicated team focused on continuous improvement and achieving production goals, contributing to the company's mission of alleviating pain and restoring health.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations.
  • Work from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets, and written or verbal assembly instructions.
  • Set initial layouts and use a variety of tools to prepare products.
  • Make continuity checks on work in process and completed products.
  • Conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly roles.
  • Vocational or technical education or certification may be required in addition to prior work experience.
  • Basic-to-advanced computer literacy skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a clean room manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform finer assembly skills including using microscopes.
  • Experience with fast production ramp-ups.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-focused work ethic.
