About the position

Eaton Aerospace is seeking an Assembler II to join their team in Houston, TX. This full-time position involves assembling various industrial lighting fixtures and components, ensuring quality control throughout the assembly process, and maintaining production schedules. The role requires collaboration with material handlers and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble various industrial lighting fixtures and components in a work cell.
• Follow production schedules as directed by supervisor or lead personnel.
• Handle and move parts from skids and pans to work bench and other areas as needed.
• Assist material handler in obtaining parts as necessary.
• Perform individual quality inspections throughout the assembly process.
• Set up work cells and prep housing and frames according to schedules and blueprints.
• Read and follow production orders and wiring diagrams for the products being produced.
• Test electric wire and terminal connections for mechanical strength and electrical continuity.
• Confirm Shop Order in SAP and complete necessary paperwork.
• Pack, label, and include instructions on all finished jobs.
• Operate wiring machines and perform minor preventative maintenance.
• Conduct operational checks and visually check work to maintain quality standards.
• Work closely with material handler to organize necessary equipment for current jobs.
• Train lower-level operators and conduct Tier-1 meetings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of electrical wiring experience.
• Computer experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience manufacturing electrical components.
• Experience with electrical testing.
• Bilingual (Spanish).
• SAP knowledge.
