About the position

Responsibilities

  • Works under minimal supervision and relies on experience and judgment to accomplish assigned goals.
  • Performs advanced functions competently and understands process cause and effect relationships for troubleshooting.
  • Assists the Lead and engineers in data gathering and problem solving to resolve recurring failures.
  • Coordinates and organizes day-to-day activities of the work area.
  • Troubleshoots product assembly issues and seeks help from Engineering staff as necessary.
  • Prepares the work area for daily production runs and ensures parts and materials are available for production.
  • Ensures adherence to production schedule and escalates production issues as necessary.
  • Performs daily production activities and assists team members in meeting production goals.
  • Floats to other process workstations for absentee coverage.
  • Ensures that employees are trained and follow GMP, Safety, and GDP best practices.
  • Trains and certifies others in Production operations.
  • Ensures 5S +1 and Lean practices are followed in all work cells.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education and technical school certificate OR equivalent education and training required.
  • 5+ years in production/production lead of medical device products with both startup and large company experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Medical device manufacturing experience.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Documentation.
