Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment to laminate fabric to various substrates.
  • Finish panel skins with back-wrapping operations.
  • Assemble components into finished products.
  • Pack finished products for shipment and label them accordingly.
  • Keep accurate records of jobs performed and product information in a computerized inventory system.
  • Transport stock to and from the work area.
  • Mark job loads with order numbers.
  • Inspect produced parts for quality and quantity.
  • Requisition supplies as needed.
  • Work from verbal or written instructions.
  • Plan jobs to be most efficient.
  • Participate in standard job rotations with team members to ensure proper standardized work and ergonomic safety.
  • Perform all duties according to safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete all regularly scheduled 5S checks and alert team members of unsafe work conditions.
  • Participate as a member of the Manufacturing Team, including Trim, Shipping, and Fabrication.
  • Coordinate work to ensure best practices with all team members.
  • Attend appropriate team meetings and support team cohesiveness.
  • Identify areas of lack of cohesiveness and work with the team to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED), or work experience demonstrating performance competency.
  • 1 year of manufacturing assembly or related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects under minimal supervision and meet required deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Knoll operating systems principles and objectives.
