About the position

The Assembler position at TAD PGS, Inc. is a mid-level role within the Manufacturing/Production operations, primarily focused on assembling aircraft interior structures and parts. The role requires adherence to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring quality and traceability of materials used in the assembly process. The Assembler will also be responsible for training other associates and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles aircraft interior structures and parts such as bins, galleys, lavatories, and sidewalls.
  • Adheres to company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints, and work orders.
  • Documents materials used in each process to maintain traceability.
  • React productively to changes and handle essential tasks as assigned.
  • May work at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Provides training to other Production Associates as directed.
  • Builds sub-assemblies of aircraft components using various materials.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment during and after production.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 0-3 years of experience for Level 1 qualifications.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience for Level 2 qualifications.
  • Ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
  • Good hand/eye coordination is essential.
  • Sensitivity to safety regulations and requirements.
  • Ability to self-inspect work and correct discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of basic machinery and various pneumatic/hand tools.
  • Ability to read engineering blueprints.
  • Previous experience in Aerospace Manufacturing is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience within the discipline and solid working knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Ability to handle moderately complex issues and escalate more complex issues to higher-level staff.
