About the position

The Assembler position at Newell Brands involves working as part of a team to support manufacturing operations by moving materials and ensuring product quality. The role requires safe operation of industrial vehicles and adherence to safety standards while maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas using forklifts or other industrial vehicles.
• Read and attach identifying tags to containers, material, or product packaging, or mark them with identifying information.
• Conduct regular inspections of manufactured goods to ensure product meets quality standards, reporting any defects to the quality team and/or supervisor.
• Use operator computer to update, track and record inventory, materials, or finished goods.
• Maintain a safe and accident-free environment by adhering to safety standards and identifying safety issues.
• Shovel, sweep, wipe down or otherwise clean work areas, equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Assemble and/or package manufactured goods.
• Use computer to report defective pieces, problems with process, product, or manufacturing machinery.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to lift 40lbs.
• Must be a team player and able to communicate effectively with co-workers and leadership.

Nice-to-haves

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
