In this role, you will be responsible for gathering relevant blueprints, building sheets, and necessary parts and hardware for assembly. You will utilize your mechanical ability, work instructions, and hand tools to assemble products. Testing equipment when necessary is also part of your responsibilities. You will operate overhead cranes and lifting devices, perform quality inspections, and fill out necessary paperwork for record-keeping. Additionally, you will package and crate assembled products and load them for shipment, ensuring compliance with all DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies and procedures. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to work safely and comply with all health and safety policies and procedures, using all designated personal protective equipment as required. Active involvement in continuous improvement and kaizen events is encouraged, and you must be able to work scheduled overtime hours. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to work safely and demonstrate no written warnings (within 12 months) for internal positions.
  • Material handling experience with forklifts, cranes, carts, etc.
  • Display mechanical aptitude and quality consciousness.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a steady-paced work environment.
  • Constructively and effectively interact with all plant employees.
  • Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal.
  • React productively to change and handle other tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance.
