About the position

The Assembly and Test Inspector position at Pratt & Whitney involves performing inspections and tests on turbine engines and components as part of the Aftermarket Operations team. This role is critical in ensuring that all components meet safety and quality standards, contributing to the overhaul of PW1100G-JM engines. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to FAA regulations, and collaboration with various teams to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspections and initial inventory of accessory components on turbine engines.
• Monitor, witness, document, and review the inspection, assembly, and testing of turbine engines and components.
• Participate in special projects with co-workers, supervisors, engineers, suppliers, and customers to review, install, or modify equipment and procedures.
• Visually inspect turbine engine components for anomalies and ensure all openings are covered when required.
• Inspect engines and components for foreign objects and check test stands for surplus parts or loose debris.
• Conduct necessary dimensional and visual inspections and verify measurements.
• Recognize and disposition non-conforming material in accordance with requirements.
• Conduct audits when required and report findings.
• Inspect components and hardware removed from the engine to determine serviceability according to technical data.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year aviation inspection experience
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

• 1+ year inspection experience in Overhaul and Repair
• 3+ years' experience working in Aviation Engine Repair
• A&P License or Military Equivalent Experience
