About the position

The Assembly Fitter will be responsible for assembling and repairing pipe systems of various shapes, sizes, and pressures, ensuring proper placement and alignment according to technical drawings and instructions. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial piping processes and the ability to work independently with some oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of the Process Install Department.
  • Read and understand isometric drawings.
  • Bridge tacks in GTAW on carbon and stainless steel.
  • Hang pipe, cut, grind, and fit-up pipe.
  • Torque down bottles.
  • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
  • Align with EFX visions and values.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or 1-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired.
  • Minimum of 1 - 7 years of relevant industrial experience required.
  • NCCER certification is a plus.
  • Full knowledge of P&ID's and assembly symbols.
  • Full knowledge of pipe specifications.
  • General knowledge of pipe ISO's, General Arrangement Drawings, and P&ID's.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pipe fitting processes for industrial piping.
  • Ability to perform complex fit-ups with minimal supervision.
