About the position

We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our integrated engineering team, focusing on the development of new instrumentation hardware. This role involves working with mechanical and electrical subsystems, integrating them into larger systems, and supporting laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Work in mechanical and electrical subsystems and integrate them into a larger system.
• Read mechanical and electrical assembly drawings and understand configuration management.
• Generate and refine documentation such as process instructions, block diagrams, and bills of materials.
• Perform electrical characterization of components and integrated assemblies.
• Support and help organize laboratory inventory/procurement.
• Support maintenance of lab instrumentation.

Requirements

• Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment involving assembly, integration, test, and troubleshooting.
• Experience following formal and informal assembly and integration processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and ability to create and communicate using charts.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and/or CAD software (SolidWorks).
• Experience with hand soldering and electronic assembly equipment.
• Understanding and application of basic electrical and mechanical engineering concepts.
• Knowledge of electronic and mechanical components, specifications, and packaging.
• Ability to read, generate, and understand engineering drawings, bills of material, schematic diagrams, assembly/process instructions, and terminology.
• Understanding of configuration management and inventory control is desired.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with good mechanical aptitude and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a creative team environment, possess excellent communication skills, and have willingness to train/mentor others.

Benefits

• Base salary range of $99,705 - $124,683 + bonus + benefits.
