About the position

The Assembly Lead at Overhill Farms is responsible for overseeing the assembly of food products, ensuring compliance with company specifications, customer requirements, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and USDA regulations. This role involves managing the production process from raw ingredient preparation to final packing, ensuring quality and safety standards are met throughout the production line.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the assembly of food products to ensure production meets quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and USDA regulations.
• Coordinate breaks and lunches for production staff.
• Conduct employee safety, food safety, and GMP observations throughout the shift.
• Report incidents to the supervisor, including safety incidents and employee complaints.
• Fill out and maintain employee rotation lists and ensure proper position rotation.
• Monitor production line equipment and verify that all machines are running properly.
• Complete paperwork related to production within designated timeframes.
• Inspect fryer machines and all other equipment along the line for safety and functionality.
• Log batter mix and report flour usage.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in a hot and cold environment.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands for most of the shift.
• Must be a team player and able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must know how to operate an electric pallet jack.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Basic understanding of OEE standards and ability to explain performance issues.
