About The Position

The Assembly Line Technician at Flex-N-Gate Battle Creek, LLC is responsible for performing various tasks in the manufacturing area, including loading components into machine fixtures, conducting visual inspections, and assisting with production processes. This role requires collaboration with supervisors and other team members to ensure efficient operations and quality production.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of previous manufacturing experience
• Strong, solid previous work history with excellent attendance
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds repetitively during shift
• Ability to forward bend and squat to place parts into fixtures
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours per day

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with robotic weld machines
• Experience performing weld tip changes
• Experience troubleshooting equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks in the manufacturing area as directed by the Supervisor
• Load components into machine fixtures to produce parts
• Conduct visual inspections of parts
• Pack parts off the conveyor
• Assist with relieving employees during breaks
• Complete hourly quality checks accurately
• Complete daily production reporting accurately
• Assist in preventative maintenance and changeovers
• Perform machine fault recovery
• Identify and help diagnose equipment problems
• Assist in weld tip changes
• Monitor and assist in reducing production downtime in assigned area
