About the position

The Assembly Mechanic position at Ipsen USA involves coordinating activities to effectively set up machines and equipment for assembly tasks, ensuring that customer requirements and design specifications are met. The role requires efficient resource utilization to minimize waste and optimize production processes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Operate power tools and equipment such as band saw, table saw, manual hand brake, drill, grinder, etc.
• Handle and work with different types of material: felt insulation, ceramic, graphite, carbon fiber, molybdenum, stainless steel, carbon steel, etc.
• Document work process, issues, and usage of material or excess material/parts.
• Communicate with team leader and supervisor in all forms of communication.
• Organize work area and keep it clean and safe daily.
• Work with minimal supervision to accurately accomplish any given task.
• Other duties as assigned/needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year related assembly experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a High School Degree or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend all forms of written and/or verbal instructions including but not limited to basic correspondence and blueprints.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, angles, and volume.
• Knowledge of basic concepts of geometry.
• Experience working with a forklift preferred.
• Forklift and overhead crane training and certification preferred.
