About the position

The Assembly Technician is responsible for wiring and soldering electrical components, constructing wiring harnesses, and assembling electronic and electro-mechanical products. This role emphasizes quality and timely manufacturing, requiring close collaboration with production management.

Responsibilities

  • Use written work instructions and wiring schematics to wire and solder electrical components.
  • Assemble and test electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Glue sub-assemblies using 2-part epoxy.
  • Perform general mechanical assembly utilizing hand, powered, or pneumatic tools.
  • Integrate PCBs and other electronic components into products.
  • Solder wiring to PCB boards.
  • Assemble wire harnesses, cables, and electronic sub-assemblies.
  • Calibrate and test products.
  • Maintain records of product calibration and testing.
  • Maintain a well-organized, clean, and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to read Blueprint/Wiring Schematics.
  • Attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow and understand procedures and work instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of computers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior electronics assembly experience.
  • Prior soldering experience.
  • Prior mechanical assembly experience.
